MYDIN Rewards Loyalty Application Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction

Welcome to the MYDIN Rewards Loyalty Application (“App”), operated by Mydin Mohammed Holdings Bhd (“MYDIN”). Meriah Card and MYDIN Rewards Loyalty Application is owned and operated by Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (“MYDIN”). By enrolling in the Program and using the MYDIN Rewards digital application (“App”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. The Meriah Card and points, in whatever form, are issued by and remain the property of MYDIN who may, at any time, terminate, vary or amend the terms and conditions of the Plan. Members are only entitled to one Meriah Card account each. MYDIN reserves the right to refuse, merge or cancel additional accounts at any time.

  1. Eligibility
  • Membership: The Program is open to individuals aged 18 years and above. Employees of MYDIN and their immediate families are also eligible but may have specific restrictions on participation. Members must provide personal details or business information upon registration and members must keep MYDIN informed of any changes. MYDIN shall not be held responsible for any loss of Meriah points or inconveniences incurred as a result of inaccurate or obsolete personal details provided. The Plan is categorised with Blue Card, Silver Card, Gold Card, and Rahmah Card where each category offers different benefits. MYDIN reserves the rights to vary or amend the benefits of each category without prior notice. The supplementary card’s validity is ties to the validity of the the primary card holder’s validity and shall expire concurrently with the primary card.
  • Enrolment: To enrol, applicants and customers can download the digital application (“App”) and complete the registration process by providing accurate and most recent personal details. Members who are applying for a Silver Card are required to submit their company’s registration with the Registrar of Business or any other form of registration recognized by the Federal or State Government to the digital application (“App”). For NGOs, the applicant is required to submit its societies/organisations registrations with the Registrar of Society, parliament act or any other form of registration recognized by the Federal or State Government to the digital application (“App”). The Meriah Card account is non-transferable and shall only be used by the cardholder-member.
  1. Membership and Account
  • Account Creation: Members must create an account using a valid email address and mobile number. Each individual is only permitted to register a single account.
  • Account Security: Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information. MYDIN is not liable for any unauthorised access resulting from member negligence.
  • Each member shall only entitle for one account (“Primary Account Holder”).
  • However, the Primary Account Holder is eligible for One Primary Meriah Card (“Primary”) and One Supplementary card (“Supplementary”) to be associated with the Primary Account Holder.
  • Points accumulated from both the Primary and Supplementary cards are pooled together and can only be redeemed by the Principle Account Holder holding the Primary Card.
  • In the event the members lose or damaged their Card. The card can be replaced by applying for a replacement card.
  1. Earning Points
  • Purchases: Members earn points on qualifying purchases made at participating MYDIN outlets. Points are calculated based on the net purchase amount, excluding taxes, discounts, and returns.
  • Promotions: Additional points may be earned through special promotions or campaigns which shall be subjected to specific terms and conditions.
  • Meriah Card is only – valid for purchases at MYDIN Hypermarket, Supermarket, Emporium, Bazaar and MYDIN Mart.
  • To collect points for the in-store purchases, members must present either their physical Meriah Card or the OR code of their card from the digital application (“App) at the check-out counter.
  • Blue Card, Bluestaff & Kenyalang: Members will earn One (1) Meriah point with every RM1.00 transaction (inclusive of SST) for Meriah Card.
  • Silver Card: Members will earn One (1) Meriah point with every RM2.00 transaction (inclusive of SST) for Meriah Borong Card.
  • GOLD Card: Members will not earn any points for transaction but will still be able to enjoy special discounts and promotions on selected non-food items.
  • Rahmah Card: Members will earn One (1) Meriah point with every RM2.00 transaction (inclusive of SST) for Rahmah Card holders and will receive special price for selected item under Rahmah Promotion including but not limited to Menu Rahmah promotions.
  • Points collected from supplementary cards linked to the primary Meriah Card member’s account will be credited to the primary account.
  • Members will not earn points for non-qualifying products, including but not limited to MYDIN Gift Vouchers (MGV) purchases, Credit Voucher and other products excluded from the Plan at the discretion of MYDIN.
  • Points have no value until converted into MYDIN Gift Vouchers (MGV) at the end of the collection period. The conversion values of points are subjected to the terms and conditions herein stipulated.
  • The minimum conversion value of Redemption for MGV, is 1000 points equals to RM5.00 MGV.
  • MYDIN is under no obligation to award Meriah points beyond these terms and conditions.
  1. Redeeming Points
  • Rewards: Points can be redeemed for rewards, such as discounts on future purchases or exclusive offers, as detailed in the digital application (“App”)
  • Redemption Process: To redeem points, members must follow the instructions provided in the digital application (“App”). Points cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Redemption by Supplementary Card: Points accrued from the supplementary card cannot be redeemed independently; they can only be redeemed through the primary cardholder’s account.Expiration: Points may have an expiration date as specified in the digital application (“App”). Expired points cannot be reactivated or redeemed
  1. Card Validity:
  • The card is valid for one (1) year with a three (3) month grace period.
  • A renewal fee of RM12 is applicable for Primary Card Renewal and RM6 for Supplemental Card Renewal;
  • Any renewal made after the expiry of the grace period will result in forfeiture of all accumulated points.
  1. Validity of Points
  • The validity of the Points will be for a period of 1 year form the date of the purchase. Any redemption of the Points must be done within the period of 1 year.
  • Points that are still available after the expiry of the card validity and grace period will be forfeited. Members will need to reapply for new membership should they wish to rejoin.
  • Points earned at the time of the transaction of vouchers already issued may be removed or cancelled, in the event that MYDIN has reason to believe that the points were collected in breach of the terms and conditions or were awarded in error. Any actions of our staff that are contrary to these terms and conditions will not have the effect of changing the terms and conditions.

  1. Program Benefits
  • Exclusive Offers: Members receive access to exclusive offers, promotions, and events.
  • Notifications: Members consent to receive notifications about their account status, promotions, and Program updates via email, SMS, or through the digital application (“App”).
  1. Termination and Cancellation
  • Termination by Member: Members can cancel their membership at any time by contacting MYDIN customer service.
  • Termination by MYDIN: MYDIN reserves the right to terminate membership if a member violates these terms and conditions, provides false information, or engages in fraudulent activity. Points accumulated will be forfeited upon termination.
  • Program Changes: MYDIN reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program, including point earning and redemption structures, at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes
  1. Data Privacy
  • Data Collection: MYDIN collects personal information to administer the Program and improve member experience. This includes information provided during registration and data on transactions and interactions with the digital application (“App”).
  • Use of Data: Information may be used for marketing, research, and to provide personalised offers. MYDIN adheres to applicable data protection laws.
  • Third-Party Sharing: Personal information may be shared with third-party service providers for Program administration purposes, subject to confidentiality agreements.
  • We respect your data privacy rights and are committed to complying with the data protection laws in Malaysia.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • General Liability: MYDIN is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the Program, including loss of points or benefits due to technical issues, unauthorised access, or Program changes.
  • Force Majeure: MYDIN is not responsible for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond its control.
  1. Governing Law
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from the Program will be resolved under Malaysian jurisdiction.
